NEXUM
NEXUM is a B2B wholesale marketplace app for Pakistan, where shopkeepers buy stock in bulk directly from suppliers.
01 — Challenge
The challenge
Shopkeepers and suppliers need more than a product catalog. Buyers have to find the right stock at the right price quickly, suppliers need to understand demand across cities and categories, and both sides need to talk and transact on a phone, often in Urdu as well as English.
02 — Approach
Our approach
We built a React Native app on a Django backend, with separate shopkeeper, supplier and admin experiences. On top of the core marketplace we added an AI assistant built on Claude, which looks up real listings, orders and analytics for the signed-in user and can place an order once the user confirms it in the app. Machine learning powers product similarity and month-ahead demand forecasts.

- 02Built the Django REST backend for listings, orders, reviews, promotions and supplier verification
- 03Built an AI assistant on Claude (LangGraph) that answers from live marketplace data and places orders after in-app confirmation
- 04Implemented demand forecasting and market analytics per city and category with scikit-learn
- 05Added real-time buyer–supplier chat over WebSockets, plus push notifications and restock reminders
- 06Implemented email OTP sign-up with Firebase Authentication, with the app available in English and Urdu

Outcome
A full marketplace app where shopkeepers can browse, chat, order and ask an AI assistant for help, and suppliers can manage listings and orders and see AI-driven demand insights.
